AZOMITE® is a highly mineralized complex silica ore (Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate or HSCAS), mined in Utah from an ancient deposit left by a volcanic eruption that filled a small nearby seabed an estimated 30 million years ago. AZOMITE® is used as a naturally rich soil re-mineralizer for plants, as well as a feed ingredient for animals.

In a typical chemical assay, AZOMITE® contains more than 70 trace minerals which include many rare earth elements (lanthanides). Many of these elements have been depleted from soils worldwide.

AZOMITE® Minerals for Land and Soil

AZOMITE® trace minerals have been reported to improve root systems, yields and general plant vigor in a variety of applications; from field crops and orchards to lawn and garden use. AZOMITE® helps remineralize nutrient-depleted soils. 100% naturally derived, AZOMITE® is OMRI Listed for use in organic production and farming.

Vegetable and Flower Garden Use

Flowers, plants and vegetables may all benefit from the trace minerals in AZOMITE®. Gardeners report increased germination rates, improved yield, more and brighter colored flower blossoms, an increase in resistance to pests and disease and tastier vegetables. Higher brix readings (a measurement of the quality of the sugars and proteins in a plant's sap) have been reported in vegetables grown with AZOMITE®.

Application Guidelines:

When preparing soil, customers have reported an average of 30% improvement with AZOMITE® treatment at the rate of 1/4 cup per plant. For larger areas, we recommend three 20 kg bags per hectare (based on rows approximately 45cm apart with plants 30cm apart). If the bed is established, sprinkle around each plant. AZOMITE® should be applied with compost, humus, manures, or other fertilizers to provide additional levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. AZOMITE® will not burn plants. For houseplants, mix 1 teaspoon per 2 inch pot diameter with potting soil before planting. Give 1 teaspoon quarterly thereafter. For roses, start with 100 g to the soil around each plant and lightly till into soil.

Vine, Citrus and Fruit Crop Use

Researchers report that AZOMITE® trace minerals combat citrus decline, create vigorous plants to help resist disease and pests, accelerate growth, increase yields, and produce sweeter fruit.

Application Guidelines:

Apply annually to all trees on ground surface under the drip line at the rate of 500g to 2.5kg, depending on the tree size. Double the application for decline or blight stricken trees. For grapes, apply 200g to 400g to the soil around each plant and lightly till into soil.

Field Crop Use

AZOMITE® trace minerals have been reported to improve root systems, yields and general plant vigor in a variety of field crops. AZOMITE® helps remineralize nutrient-depleted soils.

Application Guidelines:

Recommended initial application is 100-180 kg per hectare, followed by an annual maintenance level of half the original application. Titration studies report more AZOMITE® is better. While not justified for most field crops, certain high value crops may warrant initial application up to 5 tons per hectare.

Lawn and Landscape Use

Use AZOMITE® for lawn and landscaping for a deeper, greener grass

Application Guidelines:

A 20kg bag will cover 1,100m2 to 1,400m2. Broadcast and then water. Apply up to 4 times per year.
